Saply.ai raises €300,000, joins imec.istart and welcomes Anthony Brenninkmeijer as board member.

Ghent, May 26, 2025

Belgian hr-tech start-up Saply.ai, which helps recruiters optimally present candidates through smart AI technology, has successfully completed a €300,000 funding round in less than a month and a half. The young company was also selected for the prestigious accelerator program imec.istart and welcomes Anthony Brenninkmeijer as strategic advisor and board member.

Founded in March 2024 by 24-year-old engineer Nima Chitgar (CEO) and Guillaume Lameyse (CTO), Saply.ai was immediately selected for accelerator program Start it @KBC and has since experienced a remarkable growth trajectory. In less than twelve months, it convinced De Cronos Groep, the largest IT consultancy in Belgium, to become a customer, and concluded a partnership with Microsoft for integrations within the Office ecosystem.

Now Saply is raising money through participation in imec.istart and from a strong group of angel investors, including Peter De Buck and Patrick Verrept (founders Connecting-Expertise), Jan Govaerts (founder TheMatchBox) and Rick Van Esch (founder Emma Legal). Each of them brings valuable domain knowledge, plus a strong network in HR, AI and B2B software. As icing on the cake, Saply is also bringing C&A peer and business angel Anthony Brenninkmeijer on board as strategic advisor and board member.

Transformation of resume processing

Saply.ai offers an AI engine that completely transforms the time-consuming process of resume optimization. Where recruiters used to spend 30 to 60 minutes per resume reformatting and customizing, Saply now allows this to be automated in seconds. The technology rewrites, enriches and formats resumes in line with job requirements and the end client's corporate identity.

"We help staffing and consulting companies achieve more successful placements by presenting their candidates and consultants more strongly and efficiently. Our integrations with existing ATS, VMS and Microsoft apps allow clients to use Saply from day one, without having to modify their existing workflows," explains CEO Nima Chitgar. "Our ambition? We are loaded with rock-solid talent in Belgium, but it is far from always reflected in a resume. Saply makes that talent visible, personalized and tailored to the end customer's demand."

Up to 80% time savings

The first Saply customers are already reporting impressive results. Teams are achieving up to 80% time savings per candidate presentation and can now respond almost immediately to large quote requests, where competitors often take days.

"The consistency and quality of our candidate presentations has improved tremendously," says a satisfied user at De Cronos Groep. "Not only are we seeing efficiency gains, but also a substantial increase in placement rates as our candidates are presented in a more professional and relevant manner."

I am strongly impressed with Saply's AI capabilities: this is exactly the kind of technology that will shape the future of staffing and consulting,” said investor Rick Van Esch.

Expand, deepen and scale up

The funding will be used to expand the team, deepen product integrations, and scale up commercial activities at home and abroad.
